Hyderabad, being a hub of Agriculture Industry, keeps attracting agriculture professionals from all over the country and beyond for fulfilling their professional aspirations. Agriculture sector in Hyderabad is fast progressing owing to the contributions from and cohesiveness of agriculture professionals coming from all parts of the country that naturally includes Maharashtra. Being away from home, disconnects individuals socially & culturally. In order to revive the social and cultural elements & to foster work/life balance, sociocultural platform was much needed.

On 16th March 2014, a small group of Maharashtrian families gathered to celebrate auspicious occasion of Holi which ultimately became a stepping stone in formation of a larger forum of Maharashtra Agriculture Professionals Association (MahAgriP). Dr. Charudatta Mayee, a renowned agriculture scientist & former ASRB Chairman inaugurated this agriculture-centric organization, MahAgriP on 27th July 2014 along with Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, IG (Security Wing) Hyderabad, Dr. Shankarrao S Magar, Ex-Vice Chancellor Dr. BS KKV, Dapoli and Mr. Satish Patil, Country Head of Bayer Crop Science India. All the dignitaries appreciated the vision and goals of the organization and assured the patronage to the organization going forward.

Today, MahAgriP is a reality, a nationwide association, working for the welfare of its members, their families and most importantly contributing in improving lives of the farming community.
